Just started working on big changes at Podiatry Arena. The first is moving the domain to Podiatry Arena (without the hyphen in the URL). The forum is currently running in vBulletin 3.6. I had a lot of custom modifications done way back that prevent us using more recent versions of the vBulletin software. This can not go on forever as vulnerabilities get exposed in older versions of software and there is less or no support for older software. The decision then is to stick with vBulletin which from what I can see is declining in popularity and some of its functionality is not as good as it could be. So, I have decided to port to the Xenforo platform to future proof the forum. The move is not easy and will take a lot of work. First I actually have to upgrade it to a newer version of vBulletin and loose some of the customizations; then repair and work on fixing those custom requirements; then convert everything over to Xenforo … the next few months are going to be busy!
